The month-long BITSAT 2010, an engineering entrance exam for admission to various institutes of Birla Institute of Technology and Science for bachelor engineering programmes in their Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa campus, started on May 10. Unlike other engineering entrance tests, BITSAT is not a paper-based test but an online test which occurs on different days for different students with different questions sets of similar difficulty levels. A candidate can choose the centre, day & time of his/her convenience.

This year also the exam was conducted by BITS Pilani in collaboration with Eduquity Career Technologies. Eduquity Career Technologies has been managing the entire technology and delivery process of the BITSAT exam from 2005 onwards

Officials believe the process of online tests is not only convenient for candidates but is a transparent process and enhances candidate’s belief in the admission process of the university.

Since, these tests are objective they require lot of practice. While it is useful for students to discuss the type of questions with their friends and batch mates, it is very important to take as many mock tests as possible..
